LAVA has invited as a judge for The Ratu Kebaya competition, organised by Kompleks Bukit Jambul (KBJ) beauty contestants from neighbouring countries 2022.
A total of 12 beauty queens from countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and India will be taking part in the contest together with their Malaysian counterparts.
I think recently there have been a lot more people trying to find out more about their culture and heritage, and because of that there is more appreciation for and adoption of the cultural practice

We appreciate to 2022 Ratu Kebaya Finalist from all over Malaysia & Bukit Jambul Komplex for the invited to be a judges of the competition. It would help to promote not only the traditional (kebaya) costume but also Penang’s diverse culture and heritage.
